to be honest, you're being too critical of our criticism. Jorb & Loftar are often wrong (as is anyone) and deserve healthy criticism. this comes not from hate but love for the game and should be encouraged not mocked. play Legacy for a few hours and you will feel the difference how Haven has become much more "poppy". this thread is actually a good idea to bring to light the scope of this.

also you forgot to list the thing that started this whole discussion:

slimes (solified as an rpg trope around 1977 in dungeons & dragons)

I'm fine with people criticizing the game, I just find it silly when people act like everything has to stick to a particular theme. As for the slimes, I try not to add things that don't exist to the list. Real vikings couldn't have interacted with them and fantasy vikings could live in a world where they ride magic powered motorcycles, so there's no point.

Anyways, don't take this thread too seriously. It's just for fun. :D

I mean, there's mammoths in the game already. We just need a giant saddle lol.

Mammoths aren't dinosaurs, though. I'd say there's a very real possibility of cloning one with intact DNA, but given the state of tundra thaw.... the reality is no viable DNA will be found.

I think hnh has evolved into it's own time period and moved very far away from the original goals.

It has been going for a very long time and is a pet project for jorbtar to play with at their discretion. Just so happens we like it enough to enduldge their madness, however accurate.

I would settle for a client option that disables display of shop hats. Bonus points if it would allow to also filter a some of the other atrocities the devs added.

I think the most recent version might be pretty close to this, guess it needs a bit more polishing to remove hats only.
Added "Delete" to alt right click menu. Delete differs from hide such that deleting an object causes the game to never consider loading it, thus no minimap icon, no hitbox, no alarms, etc.
