you are an absolute moron if you think that the community has no reason to bitch out game devs for making changes that jeopardize 4 months at this point of their time/effort, no matter what change that is that week.

i do agree that certain people go a little too hard, but they absolutely have their reasons and you cannot dismiss this as people just being classic assholes. it's not a league match where people have 30 minutes on the line.

and sometimes the devs do fuel the fire. nvr4get "RUB STICKS" incident. jorb is human, sure, but there is a level of give & take here.

I mean, even here there's no reason to call me moron, as well as there's no reason to spit out toxicity on devs for bad updates. You surely can and should tell the devs why a change is bad if it's bad. But when it's just "omg jorb u suck so much" - I imagine this makes him to want people suffer even more, despite the fact that they are the way of providing for him. Heck, one day he can even decide he had enough, and then we will never get any updates, neither good nor bad.

Imagine a kid in a primary school that gets scolded for every mistake he makes. He grows hating the teacher, hating school and hating the subject he has been scolded for. Adults have same emotional reaction for such things, it's just hidden better.

In support of the OP, indeed there are moments I feel the amount of shit thrown at devs is bit too much. Aside of it being justified or not, there is a level of criticism one can take without getting demotivated. Maybe before posting shit, try to throw in some deserved praise e.g. you like today's new bird or something. Otherwise Haven community takes risk of devs pulling a JC, that is applying a few game breaking patches and then disappearing for 1+ years.

Hazing is the best method of forging a great, healthy and united community. Jorb does it very subtly. And if you are offended at such a mild statement like that, then maybe you should go to some heavily modded games instead that ban people for life for using racial jokes. The moment Jorb decides to mimic his country's government in this game he goes broke.

Hazing also prevents completely unrelated comparison to the military when advocating for a minimum of discipline. Can't be healthy without some minimal exposure to the elements; breeds only ineptitude and spoiledness.
