This. I just recolored an old cauldron.
Effectively a part of The Shoppe that devalues actual gameplay. :(

How does cosmetics devalue gameplay? It's not like it takes dozens of metal bars to make a cauldron. At most, we're talking two bars of metiron to make this cauldron.

If it isn't 100% metiron then it doesn't count. These are the rules of flaunting expensive building material structures.

Imagine how much time it would take to make towers out of meteorite. Oof.

We're trying to make a ton of meteorite things in there and using sketches is the only efficient way of doing that, but maybe later in the world we'll make things without them. Maybe.

hey, it's just cosmetic, it's not like it gives real advantage, so what's the problem?

But isn't that the entire point of stuff made from rare materials? They're special because they're so hard to make. When you can just turn any tin cauldron into metiron with a single sketch, having a metiron cauldron isn't very special (compared to if you actually had to build it out of metiron).

Doesn't count then, I think.

Perhaps we need an authenticity check on Inspect: "The cauldron is made of 100% tin, with a thin layer of metiron on the outside."

Makes me think of those "copper pans" you can buy IRL: stainless steel with a few microns of copper around the outside bottom.

I commented not because 1 bar is much less than 2 bars, but because the topic itself was the perfect illustration of rare "cosmetics" being important to somebody. Still...

As if cosmetic looks mean nothing. Ask those who spend time on it and brag (??? is there a non-derogatory synonym?) their achievements, I think. Maybe in the topic where OP announces the world's first metiron cauldron.
