What is the bow recipe?

It's actually leather... Like what's the point of making hunter's bow use leather now...

You are going crazy. But hedgehog and mole skins tan faster. Big leathers tan slower.

Honestly I'm fine with this change if instead of a sling taking leather as well, instead make it take some form of hide and nerf its armor pen and health damage. This way it allows easy second day hunting of small game like all these birds I can't touch unless there is two people. This way there is a semi linear tech progression to ranged weaponry that serves different purposes depending on the stage of the game you're in. Of course yes you can cheese almost anything that walks and has feathers or fur, but from a development standpoint I don't believe that is a mechanic Jorb or Loftar wanted.

If it indeed is leather that's required, you're gonna have to wait, AT BEST, 30 hours past the world creation for anyone to figure it out.

I really think it's pretty dumb to do this and just delay the players. It doesn't lower the quality of the bow long-term but it stops beginners from doing proper hunting.
