It's entirely based on nodes and RNG, so while you might be lucky and have ore everywhere there are places that have absolutely no ore.

Considering I've used well over a thousand rustroot charges of quality extract to completely map out my local areas underground resources (about a 15x15 minimap tile area, so give or take 225 minimap tiles total) and have only found a very, very small node of tin. I have then traveled 50 or so minimaps away to find a motherload of quality Calcopyrite.

So before you start spouting:

You should at least learn some of the more fundamentals of how the game works!

I'm sure it's just a coincidence that experienced players don't make this complaint. I'm sure it's just a coincidence that new players make this complaint.


I'm sure claiming to rustroot 225 map tiles in their entirety and "barely found anything" is something that people will believe. Like why even lie about something like that. Make it believable next time friend.

Take a picture of your quality rustroot extract. And show us what you're working with. Funny enough, anytime someone complains about this, they either refuse to show us the quality they're using or it's like quality 12. Weird right?

I'd post my map with ~75% of the area mapped for ore my village has collected since the world start, across multiple areas as we've moved twice now, with over hundreds of veins of ore. If your point is that "we were just super, super unlucky" why even present that as something that a decision should be made off of? If you're claiming what you're saying is both true (I don't think it is) and an extreme fringe case why should anyone care as it's apparently an exceptionally uncommon experience to have?

I again, reiterate due to you being unable to read, that the game works in nodes and in my particular node I was unlucky. For each person that is as unlucky as I am, it stands to reason that there is someone on the opposite end with literally as much ore as you claim to have.

Also, let's see the maps since you're willing to share! As you said, it's hard to believe these claims without proof.

Additionally, you should go and take a look at what probabilities mean. It's actually over 100x more likely for me to not have found any ore in a single tile (1/2,250,000) than it is for me to win the lottery (1/302,600,000) using your own analogy.

I'll tell you what, if you post your maps I'll go ahead and remove my tiles but keep the markers there so you can see what I've mapped in my area if that will make you happy.

What you're claiming, if it is true, would be so astronomically unlikely that I would never believe it without proof. I've mapped 200x200 map grids and found ten ore nodes in each map tile. I won't post any proof of this though for op-sec. Do you believe me?

Why post something that is fundamentally unbelievable then complain when people don't believe you?
