Yes, this medical condition was intellectual disability. At the time I think IQ is how they measure this, no?

If I'm not mistaken, idiocy as a condition doesn't always mean low IQ as it's measured. I'm not a medical professional, ofcourse, but I remember having similar discussion with one waaay back.

I was under impression at some point they have various word like ''idiot'' and ''moron'' to describe men at different level of IQ, but I am not doctor either and I think these term are no longer in technical use anyway. Either way I think point still stands, at one point ''idiot'' is technical term for some condition, but now it is just normal insult.
