Russians are at least intelligent, from what I have seen of them abroad. I suppose it comes from not being poisoned by industrial processes being applied to every food product they consume to "value add" everything in their toxic capitalist society.

What I will concede though is that poor diet has been a tactic used to control the plebs at least since the dark ages and likely prior. I'm sure it's everywhere. Russia, USA... Australia.

Peanut butter with added sugar or any other artifical taste enhancers is not peanut butter, it's junk.

You should not be eating for pleasure and empty calories. I used to eat for pleasure. If it does not taste good I would not eat it. But now I check the contents of product to check if it is the real deal instead of what the front of package says it is. If it has more than 3-4 ingredients in the contents list, and not related to what you think you are buying it is junk.
Sadly it is like 90% of products like this in the supermarkets. Most of the times the real deal costs alot more expensive and doesn't taste as good, but it is okay, our ancestors spent most of their time working time to work for food with great nutritional value and real deal is more expensive because it is more work to produce it and has more value. Don't fuel your body with shit. After I changed my beliefs like that and I read some books about nutrition I learned to eat healthy. Eat the real Peanut Butter, it is tasting like it should and it's aim is not to give pleasure.
Don't spread it on bread, you will ruin it. I'm sure there are alot nice recipes that don't ruin the value of the peanut butter. But eating it alone is not a bad choice too.
