It's actually not though, since there is a day/night-cycle, and I don't think it should be 24 hours long. Given that it exists and is different from real-world time, there do de facto exist in-game days, and so the confusion exists to some degree any way you slice it.
Yeah but for curios etc. the times could be displayed as real time to confuse players less.
3.29 ratio is difficult in any way. I remember in legacy many people thought that it was 3, so rams etc. were always dried and ready around 10% before people would show up!
that's the problem of ppl. if you start playing chess, you should learn how figures can move. You can't start play chess and say "hey I don't like those limits, let our pawns walk in any distance!", no, you just accept the rules it can move only on or two tiles infront.
Same here. The 3.38 is a core mechanic for time in HnH and all other mechanics are based on it. just discover it, accept it and spread the word. the problem lies in the sphere where community lied to newcomers about timers so much that 90% of timers on wiki is based on false info. Once we will change the attitude - the "problem" will go away by itself. Otherwise, we will eventually move through "why HnH day isn't equal real day" to "We need seasons to last for real 3 months" and "Fuck 3 month winter, I quit".
And if you're not offence to current game day length, please never elaborate on showing any ingame timers in approximate RL-time instead of exact time. It will produce way more problems, then just enlighting some ppl, confused (by old untruth info) on forums.
