Here's a tip, if you see someone in a boat, ditch your boat and start running on land, unless you are in a boat that you believe could outrun theirs. If they K.O. you in your boat, they'll destroy it and you will drown to death.
A large majority of the playerbase is what you might describe as the lowest most degenerate forms of human life. They derive pleasure from making your play experience worse and will look for any way to troll or grief you if they can't outright kill you, there is a sizeable portion of this playerbase that would war your village just so they can clean it and replace it with a swastika to go for an edgy effensive meme, and overall i would say the most pleasure you can get from this game is avoiding all other players... Unless you find like a nice small village.
That experience can be extremely pleasant, but i would steer clear of any recruiting put out by larger factions and i would dodge all players ingame you don't know. It's the only way to stay safe.
