I was banned for posting a link about a hacked Russian telecom in the war channel.

Rawrz, the automodded words were completely allowed and sanctioned until very recently, for example:

The moderation has been lax in the past and we're aiming to reduce the toxicity. I've gotten complaints about the state of the Discord from several people (including from members of that very discord (aint no snitch)), Ironic huh. We've stepped up moderation and tried to be as forgiving as possible while we tighten up. We're aiming to rule going forward and not backwards.

Automod (After I had learned of it!) was turned on late November. Then immediately after turning it on we trimmed the list to just 4 words. You'll find the same people involved with that Discord as repeat offenders, There's an entire channel of these. There was no over the top moderation, the increase of moderation has been as gradual possible.

The HH discord went from being by far the most active haven discord to basically dead within 1 week of the new moderators/automod. There's been like 50 messages there today, meanwhile my unread was >1000 in the new discord when I woke up this morning.

I don't know what your goals are, so it's hard to concretely say the new moderators were a mistake. Pretty unarguable that the ///vast/// majority were unhappy about that decision, tho.

Yes, Join that discord and read all >1000 messages. I wonder how many of those messages are purely dedicated to complaining about the moderation in the other one?

3 users account for 50% of all the messages so far, Oh look at the familiar names.



You aren't operating a public Discord server, You have a clique whose publicly showing how far the community has degenerated. You're all still choosing to willingly remain in the "moderated" server instead of staying in your own.

It also feels like a mistake to try and brand yourselves as the TOS friendly good guys when Zadek was banned for @ing a mod alerting him to somebody doxxing somebody + your moderators calling people pedophiles then banning others for doing the same ...

Zadek did not get banned for mod alerting anybody. He got banned for getting involved in the middle of moderation (on top of the issues posted prior, You'll once again see his name scattered throughout).


He doesn't appear to be so hurt by it, You've all created yourself a new home and I'm happy for you and will oblige in making sure you can stay safe and warm there.

I retract my previous statement. This was the best you could fucking think of? The server has always had rules, they may have been lost in time but its always been there. Everyone who was banned had their fair share of warnings. I'd refer to the image where shaki literally says he ignored the warning.

Yes, Vareckeska did a dumb thing and was trying to show off why you shouldn't throw accusations around or some nonsense like that. Regardless, I gave him the dissapointed friend speech as I asked him to tone it down. He's not a permanent stay but a fill in while I was away from civilization. You were all going through a new edgy period and picked up your newest favorite word. We made it clear to stop, if you didn't feel amply warned then you can consider the timeout to be the warning. Once again refer to the above for imagery of it all.
