Yes- but that does not fix the problem of a gameworld too small. After 6 months everybody can travel to anywhere, even a casual gamer like me. Even a big world becomes smaller then. I love those late worlds when so many have left, and there are signs of activity scattered around. Such an adventure!
The reason a player like me would want a large world at start with random spawn, is as I have stated previously: it gives you an opportunity to establish a base before any griefers/pvpers find you. It also gives those factions a larger pool of places to settle their large bases. It creates the possibility of pvp and pve to co-exist. Otherwise you need to invest time in the cat and mouse game at start up. That might be fun for some I am sure, but I just want to set down roots somewhere and start playing. I do not consider anything before a base as "playing". In world 15 I tried to settle a few times and failed. Then it became a matter of: Do I want to continue to invest time looking, trying and failing just to play, or do I just quit. I was on my way to quit as I could not defend the time spent "just trying to build a base", but then I remembered WB. I have never been a part of a village, so it gave me the opportunity to try that during a world. It was an interesting game year for sure.
Even though it is quiet now in some places, that will change I bet when you try to set up a claim. Suddenly they crawl out from the caves they dwell in, and destroy your claim pole and your initial pali before you even know what is going on. Why? Because you are trying to settle in a place where a large group have pinned for their use, even though there are no signs of that yet.

I don't think w14 or w13 were any different really iirc in a noticeable way besides spawn locations and continent positions/sizes. If anything w15 may have felt bigger simply because the two spawn continents were massive in the middle.
Really? I find it hard to believe as W14 had a huuuuge landmass in the middle as I recall, which took hours to travel around with boat. Maybe my eyes decieve med and the central landmass is approximately the same size as in W14. If that is the case, then it might be because how the the continents are placed? I dunno.
