Seals and Walrus aren't friends and should not help each others, it seems you attacked the whole Zoo in the same time ;)

I think (gameplay wise) Walrus have to be that fast because otherwise people would just kite them on land.

In the defense of OP, nowhere in-game is it really explained that you should have BOTH masterkey AND Hearth Fire inside your palisade, to not get locked inside or outside.

Just leave a visitor gate open and put a fence gate inside it.

I got back in. Had to cross two continents, but I did it. I refuse to use alt accounts but I did finally make a keyholder!

What the mod said was my basic assumption. If walrus actually moved at fat ass walrus speed, people would just kite it on foot. it makes sense, it just shocked me I suppose - kiting by foot is viable for some of the other animals, after all.

its litterally only viable for ants and boars. everything else is faster than you, and even those 2 have variable speeds, and are sometimes faster than you can sprint.
