Use rope on hitched animal. This unties it from the hitching post and leashes it to you. Drop the rope and animal is no longer leashed / hitched to anything.

The bull I had untied is still fine.

Check for the message "Animal tethered" in the system chat channel to make sure they're attached. You also hear a whipping sound.

Each hitching post can only have one animal attached at a time it seems.

So can we get a 100% confirmation that leaving animals untied after taming is 100% ok?

This is Babe
Image

He was born in the wilderness and lived most of his life in the forest. Life in the forest is very brutal and difficult. Only the strong survive, and the weak become fertilizer for trees. Babe was not weak. Babe never gave up and one day fortune smiled upon him. He received comfortable 4x5 pen and a full food trough. Babe was happy... almost. There was one thing missing in his new life. Babe was lonely.

We have decided to help Babe further and started the search for perfect life companion for Babe. We searched many forests and met many charming candidates. Alas, it is not so simple...

The search continues

Is there grass planted around him/beneath him? They will eat the grass planted(the terrain).
