A lot of the decriers seem to be forgetting the main reason for the larger player count in legacy was the constant botting and multiclienting/alting. Without limited gametime people logged in for more time too, often largely afking, also further inflatng the "active" player count.

The playercount is based on individual IPs, so no

I remain thoroughly unimpressed by those that decry the game. For all there is that could use improvement and that is subjective in nature, it always comes to attacking and insulting things that the devs have actual hard numbers on, like sales figures and bottom-line. You can do better than that.

This is very funny.
This is the internet. Players around the world are millions, and this game has hundreds of loyal players who loves it. This game is unique, there's nothing like it out there. With enough publicity it will reach thousands more. ITs impossible to remain this small if the required steops are taken.
It's damn mathematics. There is horrible aborts out there filling their own market nests, and this game is fucking awesome.
Just get someone with experience on it, like your friends on Obsidian or take a look around your country Universities. Probably you'll get something cool there.

This game is the most newb repulsive game ever though. I dont see how anyone who starts hnh on his own could ever reach the stage where the game is fun between the lack of any sort of ingame hints/guides and the mess that is the starting area. At the same time i am not even trying to convince friends to join me due to the spawn mechanic and lack of hf spawn. No one in their right mind would spend the 5h running to my base to start playing (and by the time they reach me the gametime has almost ran out anyway).
These points have been made very clear to the devs and specifically jorb. It's on them to change this and make it more inviting to new players, i'm not going to break my leg doing free PR for this mess.

yea same here i dont deny people shuld pay for this game but lets get real 1h per day thats how long f2p players get while russians (mostly) play like 6 hours per day so they have tons of things while you have wooden crate of curio that someone will steal

for this game to be good you need to make 1 time payment like 30$ and go for steam bro annouce that players will pay for acces to world 8 then will have to pay again to start world 9 its best idea you will get game known to more people and get money like you wanted or if you insist on subscription you shuld extend F2P to 4hours per day cuz when we work we play at best 2-3 hours in games not always haven but when we have saturday we want to play as long as we can

still all these points were made clear to you already and you piss on them thats why this game is dead the only people who play it now are 200 russian fan boys and 100 people from other countries

Why would you invite people to see a game in its most unfinished state? While I disagree with jorb on a conceptual level here, in that paid advertising should reach more people than mere word of mouth, I agree with him entirely in that it's a waste to advertise in any way beyond word of mouth at the moment. Word of mouth comes with the context, warnings, and sometimes even a helping hand that are necessary to get into Haven. No matter what kind of advertising you put out player retention will remain low until the game is in such a state as that it can retain players. There really isn't much more to add beyond that.
