IMHO the main problem with 'siege' is the binary outcome - either nothing happens of the place gets flattened, with the former being boring for PvP players and the latter being reason to quit for the victims (leading to boredom for PvP players as they run out of targets).
We need something inbetween.
Just make wipe every 6mounths
people who get killed can comeback in next world , with motivation to revenge...

More motivation to join big villages|alliances|Factions
People will buy more tokens | verifycations to speed up leveling (motivated by need to get stronger and rekt enemy)
quite simple.
The Q grinding will be meaningfull
People will get their PvP
Farmville server for casuals that want infinite grind Q of carrots... (Oh my...To grind carrots you dont need a subsciption and verifycation.. thats not gud...)
