Most states have a policy of not getting involved with coups. Even moreso since the Turkish military has had orders to maintain secularist values in the government for the past 50 years. No surprise no one wants to risk political clout.

Helicopter shooting down at civilians according to the video. There were reports earlier that a Turkish F-16 shot down a helicopter that was being used by the part of the military that is orchestrating this coup.

There have been several casualties.
Civilians being shot at the Bosporus bridge, Policemen shot while trying to get back the television station, explosions in Both Anakra and Istanbul,...

Edit: The most interesting things I read are actually the facebook-comments towards the life-feeds, since the German Turks are pretty divided between Erdogan fanboys and their complete opposites.
It's pretty much everything between "they were just a little and weak group of terrorists" and "it was just staged so Erdogan can get even more power".
