If he was actually going to change anything they'd never let him win. He wasn't theoir preferred choice, but he's kind of an idiot so he's easy enough to manipulate, so might as well give the people an illusion of possibility of peaceful revolt.

If I’m being honest that sounds very paranoid, he might not do the best job but his policies have been mostly in line with conservative values (so that was reason #1) and so far he has actually implemented some of the policy he talked about during his campaign (reason #2). Finally if he gets that wall up then I think the people that voted for him would be quite pleased with that (reason #3).

Obama was a terrible president and he seemed like the one being manipulated to me. For example, the Obama administration said repeatedly that through the Iran deal Iran would stop developing nuclear weapons and redesign and reduce their nuclear facilities. What did Iran actually do? Moved all their files somewhere secret to pick up exactly where they left off later so the Obama administration was wrong.

I also think Hillary would have been the bigger shill than Trump that’s for sure.

Trump is dancing on AIPACs strings just like every other president. He just appointed John Bolton, FFS.

Also, just what campaign promises is he delivering on? Mexico paying for the wall? Curbing outsourcing? Cheaper medicine? Draining the swamp?

I'm not saying all his decisions are going to be good, most of them probably won't be. But come on, the guy tweets out when he fires someone I don't think he's going to be doing anything shady behind the scenes.

I don't think he's got the brains to do shady stuff behind the scenes. He's a narcissistic idiot. The people doing the shady things behind the scenes just need to flatter him and they can talk him into doing whatever they want. Like remember when he was saying he'll make medicine cheaper by allowing imports from Canada? One meeting with the pharma lobby and that idea is dead.

I look at this here to see how his progress is going. Mexico is never going to pay for the wall, that one I know.

That site's got a wonderful interpretation of his promises. Apparently stopping travel from terror countries is going well, even though he never even tried banning Saudis and 15 out of 19 hijackers in 9/11 were Saudi, as was bin Laden, and Saudi Arabia remains world's leading exporter of terrorism. But he did make a deal to sell them weapons they're currently using to ethnically cleanse Yemen. And repealing Obamacare no longer requires replacing it with something better like he promised on the campaign trail.

But they've been selling weapons to the Saudi's since the obama administration and probably before that too but so far the Obama administration sold more weapons than any other since the second world war. You do realize that it is the left-wing protesters calling out "racism! bigotry!" when an administration tries to enact travel bans like that hopefully.

Maybe if the Trump administration wasn't going through this Russia collusion investigation which appears to no longer be about Russian collusion at all there might be more opportunity to focus on the important issues.

That's what I'm saying. Trump is the exact same shit as Obama, who was the exact same shit as Dubya. They're trained monkeys dancing for their handlers. The only unique thing about Trump is that he's poorly trained and still likes to fling feces.

And yes, it is racism and bigotry to ban countries that never produced terrorists that attacked US, just because they happen to be Muslim just like the real terrorists (Saudis). They're not the same kind of Muslims, though, Saudis are an extremist version that is Wahabbis. Fun fact, virtually every terrorist in Europe has been going to a Wahabbi mosque. Another fun fact, all Wahabbi mosques worldwide are funded by Saudi Arabia.

I don't know, you may be right but I think it's fair to give him the benefit of the doubt at least for awhile and see how he does. Being the President of the United States isn't a job I'd like to do that is for certain.
