It's actually not really related to Prison Architect. The creator admits being inspired by its graphics because he sucks with graphics editing, lol... He's an amazing programmer, though. It's basically a simplified space colony Dwarf Fortress, but highly entertaining and with an awesome combat system. I really recommend it too!

More recently updates have added art and things like that with descriptions like the (in)famous Dwarf Fortress artwork descriptions, and a relationship system that allows your colonists to develop relationships, grudges, throw parties or assassinate each other. All fun and games.

+1 for BANISHED, but it dont take long to find how to win even with the most hard setting, so not a long life but nice while it last.

Glad to hear it! I worked as a scripter/historical researcher on the internal dev team back in '09-10.
