This is by far the most sensible thing you've said. I can't help but ask now, based on this reaction, do you think everyone's just being unreasonable, or what? You seem pretty alright with a lot of us being spurned and now unwilling to pay anything.

Not at all. I think there are a lot of valid complaints and making necessary adjustments will be a top priority on monday.

You want (At very least) 10$ a month for unlimited playtime in a never ending alpha ass game no one has even seen yet...lol

Rhiannon wrote:Most everyone, especially those who've been around from the beginning, had NO PROBLEM with supporting the game. They DID that, for YEARS, with donations. I did, my brother did, many times until we saw it was of no use. Would I pay to play this game , of course I would. I haven't played it almost daily since world 1 because I'm bored..lol Not 10$ a month, only a blithering idiot would do that, and certainly not for access to the free game we HAVE been playing all along that they've abandoned. This game should be a purchase game, no more than 15$ for life. Subscription?, no more than 4.99 and that's with total developer attention, patches and support. SO it's not the money, it's the insulting amount of money + their reputation + this unannounced rape and cash grab = only a total fool would support this behavior. There's just too much out there to be abused that way with a smile on your face.

Hi, Rhiannon. Nice to see that you are still the same hysterical harpy as always. Thank you for donating.

We have received about $3000 in total over the course of the... six? Seven? Five?-ish years we've taken donations, for every which cent of which we are eternally grateful. They have really gone a long way toward covering server costs.

Hello Jorb, I am first to say, I love your game. Yours and Loftar's work has given me WEEKS of enjoyment, for FREE. I think you have created a wonderful world here, sandbox to the MAX. You deserve to be paid, and hopefully well! Truly a work of art, from one coder/dev to two others.

That having been said, I think what they are looking for in terms of "assurance" is something like "We(J&L) do plan on working on this game as long as it is monetarily feasible." "Here is a small roadmap of some things we are working on (in no particular order)." and maybe provide this type of "supporter" assurances and such to only paying customers. I don't think they're looking for a bunch of lawyers to draw up super official documents, or anything like that...just a little more bang for their buck.

Just my 2c, I'm enjoying the hell out of myself with your game, and will continue on trucking til I hit my pay for more time, then I will re-assess your prices, and hope there are some more options to pay say, 3 months or 6 months at a time(at a little better price-point). That or even allow for the yearlong subs to be billed in increments, so if something happens, we aren't losing money for time we may not be able to spend playing Haven!

WoT over, thanks for your time, godspeed and good luck everyone!

Heya. I've played both salem & H&H over the years.I came around to give H&H2 a try but i thought id check forums first. Found an array of QQ about pay 2 play. However after a little bit of searching i still havnt found a FAQ about payments or any other info from developers on the main site? I've gatherd that its around 10 dollars for a month? What does it entail? Server access only?

As recently as last month i spent about 160euros in salem cash shop.I never got around to use the salem store during the time as your & loftar being lead devs. Server populace went below 10. In H&H i never got any of my friends interested in the game and when i did it was abandoned for Salem and Later on for H&H2.

Personally i prefer pay2play games however my opinion is that its the wrong choice to do a subscription based game from Haven &hearth. No matter how improved it is.

If and when more information about how its P2P i will gladly give H&H2 a try.

Thanks, bro. Means a lot.

Yes, I agree that some sense of the development roadmap could probably be useful, and I'll see what I can provide in the next patch note.

No exact promises, but I have a couple of things I want to get out ASAP. We'll see what happens. During next week barring something off the wall crazy, in any event.

Also want to ask about current griefing fest thats going on? Is it normal and new players need to get griefed few times to understand that first thing is to get claim or go far far away from players? Im sure 99% of new players woudnt know about this things going on.
