Ava Max's "Sweet but a Psycho" is what makes pop music awesome. Reminds me of early MTV video stuff. I know nothing about the band or the singer which is nice. It's just a hilariously great song. The Russian goth band linked here tries a bit too hard to be decadent avant garde > Just more disposable eurotrash art. Last Jenosu? No heart and soul to that overproduced synesthetic dreck.

Greta Van Fleet. New wave rock with a solid three piece sound. Die hip hop, die die! They seemed to have come to this organically:

Dolly Parton? She's a standard. Awesome Memphis from an unlikely British source? Springfield's voice is like pillows filled with pillows. No cover comes close to her original version.

@Trappin I love all kinds of music. What a magical thing that so many different kinds touch so many.

When I first heard them a year or two ago, I was baffled as to what to think. As I heard more, I was just astounded and fell in love.

Some time ago I went to a concert of a vocaloid artist, it is quite surprising how such an absurd idea works out really well in practice!

LadyV, Mama Cass intro by Sammy Davis Jr! You really do like the oldies. I very much prefer live performance videos to studio cuts no matter the audio quality because music is also about the charm of the entertainer center stage. Linking a video with SDJ then what else is left to play but..

I was kinda waiting for some concert videos and for them to fill out their catalogue.Well, they've had a number of good concerts and a new release is on the way. Though how long will it be before the vocalist will blowout his voice?

Look at how many albums Plant put out with Zep and then later solo. Look at how long Freddie Mercury lasted. You can hear the toll on Steven Tyler's voice, from when he was younger compared to what he does now, though. Other rock singers haven't lasted more than a few albums because they haven't taken care of themselves or their instrument. Even some of the metal singers have been able to maintain their voices over the years, though it changed their vocal quality.

Oh yes I love the oldies and SDj was quite good in his day. I recall watching him. Since you enjoy live performances let's grove. :D

I spend a fair amount of time hunting for new music. There's so much out there, yet I don't find much that really catches my interest. Pop music is fun, but it all has such a short shelf life - It rots like so much fresh fruit left on the kitchen table. And all that time sometimes seems wasted since it's so easy to just pick through decades of old tunes and listen. I kind feel like i'm surrendering to .. uh middle age ... when I slide back into old stuff. The thing is, I like professional artists playing rock, blues and R&B and generally speaking, thats simply oldster stuff. Linkin Parkand and contemporary bands like that just don't do it for me. Oh well.

From the word drums, most people probably think of some black african guys hitting their drums with their thin hands, producing terrible primitive music.
But apparently one can make cool music by using only drums! As in the video above.
The visual part is pretty neat as well!
