I agree. But regardless of PvP or PvE, what's the plan for long term sustainability?
If HnH wants to stay wipeless for long durations there needs to be some serious reconsideration of what the endgame is going to look like.
There's an EvE and Albion model, where it's about the endless accumulation of wealth. But in both those games, there's a central currency, free exchange of goods on server managed markets, and strict anti-botting rules and measures. Also group based PVP is more important in each game and tends to control many faucets of wealth, and there are substantial safe zones for new players.
We are so much closer to a survival PvP game experience. Trying to adopt the no-wipe model of EvE or Albion would require major rewrites to Haven. Whereas more frequent wipes are not a substantial undertaking by comparison.
