Why are vegetarians hated?

Being a vegetarian is 100% cool, logical and understandable.
Being an asshat about it to everyone else, is not.

well we all used to eat meat.
no one is ever called a vegetarian.
You need balanced meals and for vegetables to do that you'd have synthetic/artificial foods which they call meatless such as
meat-free meat loaf.

Please tell me how. Meat is expensive. In some of the more... Rural areas, people eat bandicoots, possums and kangaroos if they hit them in their car as a result. Others deliberately try to hit them so they get a fresh feed...

If you hit an animal in your car you should eat it right? I mean it's a waste of the poor animals life otherwise.

you absolutely should not.
Atleast in Finland.
If you hit animal with your car on road (government owned road, aka. all roads) and it dies it is property of government. It is strightly illegal to do anything else than move it out of way so others dont hit it.
