The American elections seem really long and confusing

Elections haven't even begun yet. We're still deciding on a candidate for the parties. Yes, they are insanely long though. It's absolutely absurd to draw out every aspect like we do. It is completely and thoroughly exhausting for everyone, viewer and performer, for them to essentially go on for like 3 years.

What happens if the president and vice president are both in a limo and someone blows the bitch up?

It would be virtually impossible for him to win like that. All he'd be doing is making Hillary lose. Splitting votes does your side no good in an all or nothing game.

Of course, I am asking for this on the conditions that 1) the Republican nominee is Cruz, and that 2) Trump runs third party.

OTOH, he's not a Democrat. He obsesses over one thing I have never heard any politician make bones about.

He obsesses with keeping workers from fear of poverty or homelessness. This is an obsession right at home with Catholic social teaching - particularly in providing for the rights of workers, and dignity in work. He at least gets that right. No one else gets even that right.

There's an order of command or so I remember from school. If everyone keeps dying you keep going down the list until you run out of people in the federal government. I think the speaker of the house gets it next, then someone from the senate, then secretary of the state (?), and it keeps going from there.

Do they even both travel at the same time? And doesn't the Speaker of the house become president after? Also it doesn't even matter.
