What about perc x mm? Bone q depends on survival right?

Bone quality depends on the quality of the animal alone. Bone arrows need Survival and Dex. 1 MM.

And that was this that made it addictive, the sens of achivement when you could go a little further before dying.

You and me both.

This philosophy of game design was a cultural carryover from the old arcade days, where the creator had strong incentives to kill you (and make you replay the whole thing) in order to make you throw another five cents down the game's insatiable maw. Who doesn't remember classics such as Shadow Warriors/Ninja Gaiden or Rygar?

Made for pretty good games.

Rygar is evil and reminding me of being on the last board and dying is just cruel, man.

I have like 17 Marksmanship now, have fired upwards of 90 arrows and haven;t hit a fucking thing. What am I missing? (Other than the target?)

Elevation and a clear path usually. Most of our misses happen because we hit a cliff, log, boat, or horse. You'll want a clear shot and to be as close as possible. We're using flu-flu arrows so they're not meant to be fired very far away. We can usually hit targets in 3 shots (sometimes we miss like 50 times in a row though, so, whatever) as long as we're not trying to fire from a boat.

Regarding experience - peoplve've suggested it's to limit botting, but is it actually intended to limit alts? Realistically I don't see any way it'd reduce botting, except maybe making warrior factories harder.
I've been having trouble keeping up experience on my farmer, and I suspect that'll only get worse. Basically, am I going to need to bot a massive curtain wall so I can safely get lore events on my soft, fragile crafter once all the local peasants have murder?
I'm amused by my own antics.

Jorb,

From the moment I saw my first flotsam in W5 twinkling alluringly in the depths, I knew a dangerous obsession had begun. I never foraged without a boat on the off-chance of finding another beautiful water-plank. It was an addiction that plagued me for the last two worlds...

So my question is: With my current expl*perc level of 600, is there any hope of me seeing one soon in Hafen? I need this...

I shall only confirm that they are indeed in the game, and leave it at that.

regarding permadeath..
One of the most terrifying and enjoyable moments in gaming have been in Salem.
A game like H&H set in colonial age.
It has witches in it. Anyway let me get to the point, me and 4 of my fellow followers who I picked up along the way had started building a town. We had a great time and started setting up goals, it was a blast. One day however, a woman stood across the lake - she had black hair. We asked her what's up? And she answered "cross. Need." basically speaking very broken english. Then she said something about wanting to live here.
We obviously decided that we can't take in someone that doesnt speak the language - and after an hour.. she was still there. Now we were starting to become worried, a bit scared even. We started telling her to leave and it eventually bottled down to insults.
then from nowhere - two other ladies, naked - but wielding weapons appeared and slaughtered our entire town.
Everyone. I was knocked out and held hostage for a while, they asked me why we were mean to her - and I pleaded for my life. To no use, I was killed as well. Everything we built had come to ruin. I know now that they were not witches, but we did ponder the possibility.

But that's the cool thing about it. That moment would not have been especially interesting at all if I could just rise up and get back in - no what made this such an interesting and a tale to even talk about was the fact that we were screwed. No turning back - start over or go home.
This is what I love about permadeath, you have stories to tell. Now this was a while ago and i'm in a hurry so the story has lost a lot of its detail but..
