The problem is more that people are still
densely populating the starter zone

I honestly thoguht I had setup my first camp a fair distance from center, but I've gone way further outwards then I came. But I enjoy having much wilderness to explore, without having the cool landmarks bricked in and circle farmed.

Does anyone know what the radius of the starting zone is?

I like this too. On the other hand, am I the only one who dislikes water/boats being the fastest way to travel? One of my hopes for the new game was that it would introduce viable options for land travel - I guess horses fill that role (and crossroads to some degree) but until they're tamable or something, it doesn't really replace the boats.

The spaghetti is real
The low life has lost its appeal
And I'm tired of walking these streets
To a room with its cupboards bare

I know what you mean. The spot I'm in right now used to have only a couple of neighbors but they've been springing up all around me the last few days. I keep having this internal war between parts of my brain when it comes to picking a spot to settle. On the one hand, having neighbors to trade with could be beneficial. On the other hand... people.

On the third hand, rage. Clear out all those who won't be nice and trade with you! Best of both worlds.

The World is *NOT* too big for 500 something people, I travelled 6 hours away from the starting zone, and its already getting crowded. My whole camp is moving again to get away from the encroaching hoards. I sincerely hope the border of the world isn't anywhere close, too many stinking hearthlings around.
jorb: I don't want *your* money. You are rude and boring. Go away.
Sevenless: We already know real life has some pretty shitty game mechanics, it's why we're here instead.
Avu: The end is near it has finally come to pass: I agree with Lunarius...
Shubla: There are also other reasons to play this game than to maximize your stat gain.
