Confirmed.

Trying to get my steam buddies to actually give this game an honest try is an excersise in futility. They get on walk around, pick some branches and say the themselves now what? Can I fight a fox? No.. The fox will beat the fuck out of you.. Can I build something? Well.. Kinda, but you have to wait to gain lp to build anything but the most basic shit. It's very annoying trying to get them to try this game.

I won't speak for the rest of the mods, but for me, with the archives getting jumbled awaiting for loftar to sort them, it's better to have one thread people can beg and whine in that, hopefully, will get found in the future because someone used a search.

This is the problem. Users in steam are not used to such slow paced games where you lose everything if you do very small mistake. They want their games to be 100% enjoyable from minute one.

You don't play many games on Steam, do you? Yeah, I read the reviews on the slower games and hard core games, and there's always the whiners in there that need their instant gratification, but the good reviews and general opinion is overall positive as long as the game is decent to begin with.

A lot of people really seem to like the idea of this game, till they try it.. Or hear it is permadeath. Permadeath is literally the only reason I play this game though.. No other games are willing to do it like this.

Confirmed.

Ah. Good. I can add another thing to my list of amazingly asinine one-man shows. You'll be placed right under Mohammed, Joseph Smith, John Smith, almost every rapper that's popular in mainstream American culture, almost any pornogrind band at all, the vast majority of atheists on YouTube, the vast majority of Evangelicals and Traditionalist Catholics on YouTube, and, of course, Dan Savage.

Oh, wait. You were already jammed in there between Fred Phelps and Kesha. Never mind...
"...the dungeon and shackles are already at my threshold to show me here and now my eternal disgrace. Only you can work the miracle to make life possible for a soul so imperiled by doubt, O Atoner for all, exalted beyond saying." - St. Gregory of Narek, Book of Lamentations, Prayer 1.

You are much loved! Love in return!

although early access became a haven (no pun intended) for a variety of scams and grifts...a lot of that is changing, beginning with the refund policy , there has also been an upturn in Steam taking action against said developers in a variety of ways including removal of the games themselves. considering the forums, refunds, complaints and reviews sections of steam. These 2 wouldn't last anytime at all on steam before a 7 year joke became even more known and whatever reputation is there would be even worse. So no, don't expect these 2 on steam anytime soon or ever.
