Nettle clothes give survival and unarmed, they're some of the best clothes in the game currently.

I'm currently wearing nettle clothing for survival boost, but I take it off when mining for energy reasons. And a fox fur hat, which gives Int boost.

Are you able to wear doubles of everything? Does it always have to be the same item of clothing? I don't really understand how all that works. I know that bandages go on one head spot with whatever hat your wearing on the other.

Someone here is explaining this lack of information like an "Explore the game, is funny!".

Oh, please. Have not the freedom to use your items in the right way without waste it on items you don't need at that moment, is Exploration...?
I have an idea, then. Delete the whole UI interface and start to craft things typing random letters on the keyboard! Who know, maybe craft things blindly, wasting your stuff, is something you find great and exciting!

Guys.
Sometime a bad idea, is just a bad idea. There is no need to find reasons to make it look better. Everything can be, somehow, funny. Even that keyboard exploration is so damn silly, but that's not a good idea for a videogame, even if silly.

I find annoying that you can build an item, but you don't know actually what it do 'till you've built it. This won't totally ruin the game, but lack of In Game informations, is always bad.
Check the wiki to find new animals OR find it in game trying many combinations, is exploration. Find new plants and learn new skills hoping in unlock things, is exploration. That's definitely funny, or at least is a concrete part of the game experience.
Have a already discovered recipe and not know what it really does, is just boring.

Actually, that sounds perfectly reasonable to me. Equipment that has no actual benefits can still exist, but it should be clearly labelled as cosmetic.

This.
It's a bad idea baiting players who are seeking to replace or complement their first-day nettle gear into crafting all sorts of new equipment that doesn't actually offer them any improvements. That's just one of the little things that can eventually drive away a new player.

Nobody is getting baited. There is no malicious intent. It's an exploration game. Take it for what it is. Leave any expectations at the door and enjoy the sense of wonder you get from exploring the new. Sometimes you will be excited and sometimes you will be disappointed, but can you really know excitement if you have never known disappointment (and vice versa)?

If there is an item that is lacking attributes that previously had them, post to the Bugs section. If it is meant to have them, it will get fixed shortly. Just have some patience as there is a long list of more critical fixes.

I would think that when seasons are implemented, you'll learn to appreciate that fur cloak come winter.

What if all purely "cosmetic" equipment just gave charisma bonuses.
