It's all true, but I think its not fair that project zomboid using similar aspect of haven and hearth gets more attention than haven and hearth which as far as I know has been around longer.

Ah, I see. Oh, but I suppose they are quite different games. I mean, they do have similarities but I guess they're similar to all other survival/crafting games and not just the two of them. As for this case specific, that really takes inspiration from haven, it is a mod... and like I said, no one can really do much about what people mod, it wasn't the devs decision to make a H&H inspired mod :PP

But I understand how you feel. I dunno, though. Maybe H&H had exactly the fame it needed to be what it is. More could've spoiled it, less could've failed it. We can't really know :P I'd love the world to "see" J&L's work but I don't believe that thinking "Oh, this game deserves less" is the healthier way :)

Well it is true, but fame is what keeps the game active in the first place, if players stoped playing haven and hearth, we all could wave bye bye to haven and hearth.

True of any game that requires a minimum monthly expense to keep running. People can still play the original X-COM if they have the disk (or I suppose the could buy a digital copy through GOG or Steam). If an MMO quits running servers, you just can't play unless you can find an emulator somewhere or the code for the server is released.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.
