It was really interesting watching him coding in Java and then seeing the code in action 5 minutes later.

I've browsed through the client. It's not the most elegant code I've ever read, but it's good enough you can follow it. I've read some really crappy code that you can't follow or that has so much shorthand and shortcuts for optimization (in sections of code that probably never needed optimization to begin with) that you have to be an expert to figure it out, and modern compilers likely would have optimized better, anyway.

Well, im not saying that i could make better code/better readable one. But he has done some very very weird decisions on some bits of code..
