This shit is horrible and it will get far worse before getting any better, it is easy to disregard loss of life when you are not directly involved, but I really hope this does not escalate into an all out war. :(

(it was rather nice to see a similar thread popping up after fukushima, when some people in our chat channel were actually affected by the disaster.) and those starving kids or their parents are not coming to this forums reading other players having fun, and i dont find it relevant, and i would certainly post about it elsewhere if i wanted to.

I just find it hypocritical thats all.
The news people like fox, are having a field day. They lovvvvvve when stuff like this happens, because they get to report it, but do we ever see them reporting
the 3.1 million children under 5 years old that died last year from not getting enough to eat? No... because that's depressing.
But when 100 rich french fucks get killed, it's a big deal.

The hell you talking about mate? Starving children appear all the time on tv, usually on one of the several humanitarian campaigns that asks for donations, guess you just ignore those?

Also, as horrible as these starving children are, one crisis does not justify disregarding the other one IMHO.

Let's just not forget why terrorist organizations that are currently on the threat list exist in the first place. They aren't grassroot movements, folks.
It is nice to rest your weary bones from time to time. It is nice to lay down your burdens. It is nice to have a seat.

Children going hungry is an ongoing issue, but what happened in France is on the news more because it was actually the result of terrorism, not a combination of issues spread out over time

It's unknown where the next attack will be or when, and many countries have been named, Canada included
It's a big deal and it's scary to think about where it might lead us

my condolences to the people of France.

Seriously? it's a tragic event and people are grieving. Children dying of starvation is tragic, but how that allows you to diminish the loss of 100's is beyond me.

My sincerest condolances to the French people and everyone affected by these attacks.

There seems to be a coalition forming of Russia, USA and France. They seem intent on finishing the job.

Well Said Stya :)

As it is it turns out that a lot of those hit weren't only French people but from all over the world as far away as Chile, Brazil, Mexico, US with people from at least Alaska and California. The metal band were Americans - Seems like they might have survived though from what I gather.

I dont know for sure east and south but the reports says hurt and killed people from Morocco, Algier and Tunisia, and in Europe we got Portugal, United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden, Rumania, Spain and so on and not even everybody identified yet.

While I wouldn't have made thread like this I can respect it and the wishes that goes with it. Which should be possible for others to do as well no matter their own opinions about the making of it. This is not the time and place for such opinions.

Let's circlejerk over the dead, because it's not enough to feel something for them, one has to signal it one's ingroup to seem like a Good-Hearted Person.

And I'm tired of walking these streets

I was playing Happy Wheels (a web game) when there was a level asking to pray for Paris, and if you watch my replay i stopped for 8-10 seconds praying. 'w' I hope everyone in France and all around the world (including you guys 'cuz you guys are the best!) stay safe! ;)
Total misplay.
