I think saying "this world is experiment" and the expectation that the world is going to be reset some time soon is a pretty big mistake of devs. All it does is kill people's motivation to take the game seriously. Anyone playing for the long haul and setting up huge village projects is always going to have it in the back of their mind, making it all feel pointless. Though it seems like most big villages are just playing hard and fast for fun then burning out and becoming inactive.

The number of players in game seems to be still declining quite fast, I hope devs sort out their stuff before it becomes ded game. Don't forget it is not like old haven, in old haven there wasn't a monthly prompt to continue playing or not so the possibility of game just straight up dying is real.

I agree with you actually, it was a bit silly ... however, and I can't believe these words are going to come out of my mouth when I've always been dead against resets and always wanted a never-ending world, I would love a reset!

This world was experimental for all of us in a way and like any new game you get to a point where you wish you could start again knowing what you now know, for example, I rushed my hermit base having started a month behind everyone else and I now regret the layout, regret area's I concentrated on with my char over others and if it wasn't for all the hard work, investment and time, I would just move ... knowing there is going to be a restart at some point actually keeps me playing, the more I learn now, mistakes included, the better it will be for me when a new world comes.

We definetly need a reset but we also need help/quests/anything wich will helps new players to start playing. When game will have noob-friendly start it will be a good to reset the world and give 1 week of free play. I hope this will bring us new players.

I can't recall them saying that. I only remember them saying that they don't plan or want any resets, but they will make one if it turns out it's necessary (for example if they decide to rework some core mechanics which couldn't be implemented without a reset). And that "hopefully" it won't happen in the nearest future

Why would you want to reset the world at this stage when there is a lot of things in need to be hammered, content to be added etc? Wouldn't it be better if they add the kingdom things, rehaul combat, trading and other fixes before the reset ocours?

I agree - I don't think a reset should come until the new Haven is at least as complete as Haven was. We have tons of new stuff, sure - but we also didn't get some old, basic stuff yet... like wine and beer, for example. So there's no point in resetting already :)

At least a couple of things that need to happen first.

  • Implementation of a more functional siege paradigm.
  • Quest/help systems.
  • Work on map generator.
.
I'm not in a rush. I think it's good that we feel that we have developmental freedom to try things out.
