Europe as a whole would be better off with many small nations/kingdoms under some kind of supranational organization like the Holy Roman empire than as bigger nation states.

Ok going to correct some information here on US and UK Murders using

FBI data-
1915 Murder and non negligent manslaughter 5.9 Per 100,000. Population of the US was 100.5 Million. That is 5,929.5 Murders (and other manslaughter types.)
2014 Murder and non negligent manslaughter 4.9 Per 100,000. Population of the US was 318.9 Million. That is 15,626.1 Murders (And other manslaughter types.)

Citizens Report UK Data-
1915 Unfortunately can't seem to find any reliable data for UK older than 1945 so can't argue this part.
2014 Total Murders / Homicides in UK (England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) in the financial year 2013/14 is 619 at a rate of 1.02 Per 100,000.

Although I did find on Wikipedia that SUPPOSEDLY in 1910 it was 0.81 Per 100,000 but again Wikipedia don't know if you can trust it.

Another disclaimer- I completely trust the FBI Data System so no doubt that is correct, however, Citizens Report did not look like official government release however it even had pictures, descriptions, names, and other information of all the victims of each year so making conclusion it is also trust worthy.

End conclusion, If we go by the Wiki rates for UK 1915 then while we have a higher number of murders we have lower rates and while the UK is very close it does still have higher rates than 1915. So, this is backwards in saying the UK is doing something right as we have decreased Murder rates and UK's has increased HOWEVER I still give UK props on the fact you guys/galls have kept AMAZINGLY LOW murder rates all throughout time.

Also info on people accrediting gun freedom in the USA to the increased rates. We had a record high amount of gun owners in the year of 2014 because of Obama threatening gun laws and that same year we had record LOW murder/homicide rate.

Also, Why did you say the UK did "something right". I have always heard good things about the UK although I didn't really get into your politics and stuff much so just wondering why you are saying it like the UK is messing up alot right now.

I just meant it in general worldwide terms, I'm not sure humans get anything right tbh, lol, so it was a sort of wry comment. :)

@ Tonky, thanks for that link, I've read quite a bit about the project but have never seen any docu's on it, I'll watch that later. :)

Research studies have shown that Wikipedia is at least as reliable as Encyclopedia Brittanica.

@tonky: no, not trying to be a grumpy old man. I'm just annoyed that people compile a list of trivia and get half of it completely wrong. Call it one of my pet peeves. :x

Most wrong things in wikipedia are corrected. But if you check out recen edits. There is LOTS of propaganda editing. They will be visible for some time before somone reverts it. If you happen to be unlucky and read article while propaganda edit is still visible you will get wrong information.

This is why you should check recent changes if you're really trying to dig or if something looks fishy. Wikipedia is just another form of journalism, and any proper journalism should be without bias.

This is the main reason I did the research on the murder rates posted above. I knew that it was off as I have studied in the area alot and find it annoying when people are spreading false information around and more than 80% of anyone that see's it will believe it just because everyone is sharing it.
