Was the person on the altar just killed? I wasn't paying attention but I happened to be making a screenshot right at that moment. Pretty sure I saw a death animation when I noticed something was up.

I just saw someone run to the altar and get on it. Then someone else killed the one on the altar by shooting (with what I think is a sling, haven't played since they were released).
Currently someone is camping the altar with a sling.

btw you can shoot people on the altar with bows and when you ko the guy, he just die.
PS:I guess this is why the server crashed yesterday, cause i was trying to kill the guy on altar and suddenly server froze, then when server restarted, the guy was dead

I have a charter stone nearby, and I'm probably not the only one. This is something players can do. But I don't really have a reason to release its name; it will only bring more risk to the altar and I currently have a criminal character at my base which will inevitably be killed if I release the name.
