I agree.

Will fix. Thanks!

Oh yeah, another case of Jorb making a small fix that exacerbates a larger problem, therein making gameplay worse!

Yay development!

Animals moving slower when severely wounded sounds like a good idea.

Also blood trails so you can track them down instead of giving up when you lose sight.

This would be an excellent mechanic if done right. It's one of the challenges of bowhunting if you don't get a clean kill. Hell, even if you hit your target perfectly, deer will still bolt and run a mile before dropping because it didn't know it was already dead.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

it also fits in with how hunting back in the day was done. Shoot it, then track it for miles. maybe shoot it again... track it for miles.

I love hunting in this game when I can do it properly, but some animals like moose and bear are IMPOSSIBLE to kill without cheesing. When they get low and run away, even IF you catch up to them after they de-aggro and IF you get another hit on them, it's very likely that they still won't die. Their health pools are so high that it still takes multiple hits while they are fleeing, and it's ridiculously hard to hit them because they run at mach 10. I'm all for fixing the exploits but there needs to actually be a feasible way to kill them without the exploits first.

Blood trails or a spin-off of the scent mechanic sounds like a great idea gameplay wise along with hopefully slowing the creatures down some.

Bears dont run away unless you cheese. They just get angier.
But i agree, moose is impossible to catch. I've been trying to kill one with a horse on full sprint and the horse ran out of pony power before the moose died.

Im a noob and I killed a moose, but not a bear yet :D

I just used a boat to de aggro after a hit, so the animal wouldnt run too far. But I agree with the general Idea, hunting in Legacy was crap, and now it's not better.
