If it helps, mister hermit guy, a lot of
high tier players don't really grind stats.
You can get by in the end game with
low stats, just gotta practice and learn.

To be honest, the fact you're just breaking 40 means you still won't, and you probably won't be a skillful enough player for it to matter if you do. I'm not hating, just trying to be a realist. I've hermitted since w3, and it's just a fact you have to learn to accept.
edit: I'll note there is an exception if you've done the village thing and gotten into different fights and stuff, in which case you might just know enough to fight most random raiders off, even with the lower stats.

Vagina doles has no achievements to
brag about, so he brags about his
numbers being high enough to kill a
spruce cap... if he weren't so afraid
to leave a scent

Reaching the cap means you can actually go out carnaging like a monster. And since more people will be on the same stats as you, things will be balanced, and pvp will be really fun! We'll not have a powergamer with extremelly high stats just killing everyone in sight in 1, 2 hits and bare-hands bashing palisades at his will.
I think this is the way the game has to go, where team planed actions are needed to ensure victory on pvp, sieges and so on.
Where's the fun when a group of 2, 3 players can run arround palibashing every claim they find and raiding everyone? Okay, those 2, 3 guys will have some fun (untill they get bored), but those being raided will just leave.

I mean, in this game a skillfull small group
can take down a large group. It's just that
you don't often see something like that.
