In the first few days of this world I had collected 3 pearls, a couple of flots, a couple of glimmers and bluebells etc. But lately I've boiled about 8 cupboards with no pearls, found 1 flot, no glimmers and a single bluebell while doing pretty much the same amount of activity, I've been putting it down to bad luck but it's starting to feel like that's not the case.

So far I get one pearl per CB mussels, but maybe the difference is that I do enough other stuff inbetween (not boiling the complete CB in one go) instead of boiling them all at once...

It's a pain though, you have to light the cauldron, etc. I prefer to save up a few cupboards and do it then, it's more efficient that way. It just introduces more tedium if you're not supposed to do it that way...

Don't know if you are not supposed to do it that way, but lighting the cauldron isn't that bad as it was last world. I usually split a block, put in one branch as initial fuel and make a firebrand - most times I could add the leftover two branches or stockpile them when I know I won't need that long.

And if you know that this session will be a bit longer then don't care about climate change (since it'll take several hundred years till we will have problems with the shore coming closer) and throw in another block and you won't have to relight it for the rest of the day. Just always take out the water the moment crafting is done to save on the real hassle of getting new...

At around 4000 per*exp here. 4 Glimmers so far It doesn't help that all caves are now tiny sized. I miss the huge cave systems of w8.
As for pearls, i got 2 out of around 20 large yellow chests worth of mussels.

I actually have one of those giant caverns which I check daily, but no dice.

It's because this is about the Fate system, and the entire point of the Fate system is that we don't know how it works. They won't be providing any information on it, only silently listening to players' impressions of it.

I get enough glimmers from very occasional runs to study on 4 characters constantly. The caverns are great, saves needing to mine them (bot) yourself.
