Why are vegetarians hated?

One of my closest friends is a vegetarian, I quite like it when she comes over to eat as I get to try out making different vegetarian meals ... she was a bit annoying when she first became one, lol, tried to convert everyone for the first few months, but she seems to have gotten over that now 2 years later.

I'm a meat eater but that's just because I don't care what's morally right or wrong. But fact is, it's wrong.

No, but even if i stop doing something, it doesn't mean others will follow, not even one. If you feel comfortable with something, would you stop it just because your friend stopped ?

It's not about peer pressure, it's about being the change you want to see in the world. Why don't you litter then? If you decide not to, nobody who does will stop littering because of you. You don't cause the world almost any harm as a single litterer. It takes much less effort to dump your trash onto the ground than into trashcans. That's right - because it's not morally right to do something that causes pain and death to other animals.

Most animals are raised and slaughtered for food production purposes.
Most of meat stuff is delicious.

Depends what are your ethics.
By eating any animal products at all you directly support salughter and pain for animals.

I'm just explaining most vegetarians' reasoning and that it's not just them "not liking meat". Me eating meat doesn't mean I don't understand vegetarian reasoning, it just makes me not care about animals.
