You chose harsh game, got some negative experiences, and decided to call everyone else names. We feel ya. Now go try Hello Kitty Magical Adventure or something.

The next person who can't read. I had no negative experiences. I asked whether this is intended because I don't want to promote something which just pushes new players away.

I never called anybody names - but I wish there was just one place on the internet where people don't use the same old "saltiness" memes just to try and make other people angry. Do you have anything relevant to contribute to my initial question?

This forum is pure cancer. I just went through the posting history of some people and all I see is "lulz", "why so sad?", "you suck", etc. postings. That's exactly what PvP without penalties does to you player-base.

Take care everybody. :-)

there is a penalty for pvp though its call leaving a scent if they killed your friends then you take the murder scent and track them down and then kill them or otherwise punish them they are calling you salty because thats how you're acting right now you dont like the way pvp is even though plenty of people do you clearly didnt have anything to say about the pvp system before something negative happened to your friends the word salty is about as much a meme as any other adjective

me and my friends are new and we enjoy the pvp system that is set forth actually if anything wed like it to me more lax as it were it is very difficult for most players to seige other players from my experience it is actually pretty hard to get yourself killed unless you arent paying attention or you set your base up next to a more established player group

why play open pvp games if you dont like open pvp

They are not my friends. They were new players we recruited on twitch in order to increase the player-base and some random neighbors we helped out. I can not track down and kill 4 players who played for months - I started a few weeks ago after I remembered the game from W7 where I played for two weeks after which I gave my account away.

I am not salty. All we wanted to do is to promote the game for a bit, share our seeds and resources with newcomers - which has turned out to be pointless as new players just get killed by immature players.

"Why so mad bro?", "Want cheese with that whine?", "Salty?" are memes (or however you want to call it) with only one purpose: To make other people angry. The last thing this planet needs is people who want to make other people angry.

Anyway. I guess we all agree that this has turned into a pointless conversation? I will just try to contact one of the killed players and give them our village.

what difference does it make if they are your friends or not you didnt complain about the pvp until that happened you may not be salty but the words you are typing right now make you seem super fucking salty if you get angry when they call you salty then you are in fact salty not to mention the fact that you called the other players immature just because they did something you didnt like welcome to the real world the game and those players dont owe you anything including not killing your neighbors
you're probably pretty immature if this kind of stuff has to be explained to you over a forum post

It's not a PvP game. Quake2 would be a PvP game. H&H is a sandbox game. The game world reflects the quality of the player-base.

It's like saying "humanity is PvP" just because it's possible to kill other people. Destroying the work of somebody else is evil - even if the environment allows for it.

You can do a lot of nasty things which are legal; you can have sex with exploited girls in Thailand for 1Eur - that does not make humanity a 1Eur-sex-show. You are part of our society and you expect people not to have sex with tiny girls for 1Eur if you have a heart and some moral.

Where exactly do you think you have the authority to decide what Jorb and Loftar's game is and is not?

this is an open pvp game i didnt say it was an only pvp game i said it was an open pvp game because you can in fact pvp anywhere in the world and you started the game knowing that what is evil is subjective why is your qualification of evil more important than those russians what is your example expose to show other than the fact that you are ignorant and immature there are societies where sex with young girls some exploited is perfectly fine except you are going around and calling their beliefs wrong and yours right grow up kid

In speaking with von Clausewitz, we can observe that combat, thus, is only the continuation of action denying by other means. If you stand on the tile I wish to plow, I can hurt you to make you go away. If, on the other hand, I can't attack you, then you have the means to permanently and irrevocably deny me particular courses of action for as long as you and your whims see fit. And, in this sense, every potential action is always offensive or, every potential action is always peaceful or the distinction is meaningless, whichever one you prefer.

It is very hard to be killed in this game after some precaution. I think it is good for you to trying to promote this game. But it seems to me that you are sort of noob at playing this one. Maybe you can tell new user you promote to take same precautions to become not killed. Example: trust no players, run away from these, building claim and palisade as soon as can possible. Good lucks, these game is not for all players.
