We are only a few decades away from having the technology to be able to send "space Arks" to nearby star systems. These would be giant space ships with hundreds of people onboard.
The vessels would use hundreds of years to reach their destination. All it takes is funding and determination. I do not think you humans have the will..

Perhaps. In any case if the jump to occupying supermassive space habitats ever occurs it is likely that at least one of those habitats will elect to make the journey regardless. That's a long way off though, and honestly I find it highly unlikely that we will ever leave earth.

Also we focus so much on space instead of the deep ocean because space is more romantic. The origins of the universe, great conundrums of physics... All the big answers are in space. What's in the oceans? Resources. When we go there it will be to exploit resources and science will be a secondary concern. Intellectually there is a lot more to be gained from space.
