Yes and no, BF1 looks nice and seems like it may have resolved the broken physics and maybe hitboxes of BF4 among other things, but I'm worried about the current number of maps. It seems like it could be a DLC map bonanza and for a $90 that's pretty lame. Especially given how buggy BF always is. Do they ever even fix bugs in BF?

Yeah its russian, and in fact theres evidence of bias towards soviet planes, which dont seem to follow the laws of physics. For that reason, people who fly soviets are not considered honest players by some.

The matches are random but you spawn with your squad if you have one. On realistic mode you usually only spawn with players of the same nation however, so your team needs to be consistent with that. I fly british and german planes if you'd like, but I'm not playing lately.

Its a nice game despite being obviously government backed and pay to win. Damage is calculated for every part of the plane, and also by angle and armor thickness, and theres no energy bars, so strategy matters. Enemy bombers can be invincible if you dont know what you're doing, for example.

Warthunder is fun. I've put a lot of time in on it, but without the premium, it's a long, slow grind... a bit faster than World of Tanks, I think, but still slow. I'd rather play WoT for the tanks, though, at least compared to the last time I played tanks on WT. I picked up for the combat flight sim, though. Ships are planned, but no clue as to when they're going to roll out. And as far as that Russian plane bias... meh. Maybe some bias against the Japanese aircraft, but I've only gotten through tier 3 planes so far.

While not on steam, there are a lot of people around that have or currently do play WoT.

I have currently been playing the crap out of Overwatch and before that Heroes of the Storm (mostly for game length... hate hour+ games you get with dota and lol). Could probably be talked into playing some dota if nobody cared if I noobed it up.

I prefer WT because of damage system. Its just a lot better. You really need skill and knowledge if you want kills. Shooting everything that moves with tank does not help.

I'm not sure Warthunder is suitable for co-op PvP like I was thinking about. There does not seem to be any coordination in the battles..
