Kind of like world of tanks, but you can also fly planes, and I think they have/had ships coming. I don't know about current status.
It is free to play, but provides additional purchases to boost your xp rates so you can get cool tanks and planes faster.

While not on steam, there are a lot of people around that have or currently do play WoT.
I have currently been playing the crap out of Overwatch and before that Heroes of the Storm (mostly for game length... hate hour+ games you get with dota and lol). Could probably be talked into playing some dota if nobody cared if I noobed it up.
