will world continue after combat change?

I wouldn't be surprised if the world would be reset alongside with the combat change, the whole kingdoms expansion is a big deal but seemingly meant for a higher population than the one we have at the moment, and a lot of the changes seem to be awkwardly unfitting to anything but the earlygame.
