I'm sorry but what planet are you living on? Lol.

Features =/= polish
Your standard client is not even playable ffs. And 90% of steam would probably go insane over lack of pathfinding. That's just 2 small examples

I guess what I'm saying is most greenlight games I've played are more or less fully functional with a lack of features/balance. Haven is the opposite imo

Preach it, brother.
The last thing hnh's population count needs is a shit review score on Steam. And that's what it'll likely get. NOT because it's bad or deserves it, but because Steam is full of illiterate shits who will point out every little unfinished / unimplemented mechanic as a con even though the game is "early access" / alpha etc. they dunno what it means.

But still, I'd love to be there when it is on Steam. This is definitely my all time fav game and great success is fun times. Also imagine Rust players on haven, lol.

Do you really want a bunch of five year old fans of PewDiePie or whoever invading the game when he inevitably streams it?

We've had well known youtube celebs and streamers in the past. We get an uptick in players for a while, but most leave pretty fast because reality hits hard.

Haven may be fundamentally incompatible with Steam/it's business model. Even if you could fit Haven in steam in a way that ensures devs get enough money, there's significant risk of people trying out Haven, deciding it sucks and never coming back, even if game is significantly improved.

What's incompatible? All it is is a matter of implementing the Steam API into the client. They can sell subs, hats, and verification through Steam.

The latter is a very real possibility.

Would there be any changes to custom clients and general botting if the game was Greenlight? H&H's "gameplay environment" might be a bit of a shock for the average steamling. A game where botting isn't punished or even considered cheating is very rare, even if it is justifiable within an alpha with only a couple of developers.
