Salutations everyone!

This is not my thoughts but:
From what I am reading, I think the consensus is saying that there is not enough everchanging content nor enough quality or quantity content to merit an everlasting world. Historically, resets occur when a core mechanics is overhauled or some severe data error renders the current world inoperable.

I think the main question to ask oneself is: can you imagine yourself playing the current world for 2-3 years without a reset?

Thank you for listening.
The vast majority of communication with others are not just words; it is also diction, body motion, and many other factors. Even doing nothing is communication in itself. The moment your eyes meet someone, you have initiated contact. In essential, it is a constant non-stop flow between two or more entities.

Yeah lets have reset every 1 week! Good idea.
Fuck all people who want reset. They should quit game permanently.
Only reason why they want reset is that they are too scrub and get killed/raided early game and then ragequit.
Then they start begging for reset and when it finally comes they play for 1 week and then get killed. Then they start begging for another one.
Ban ALL world reset related discussion on all subforums in any form please.

There is no good reason for world reset. Absolutely none.
Theres plenty of free land to settle, as world was recently expanded.
Theres lots of metals and stuff to mine and trees to chop.

You might say that other players lead you in ql, but so what?
If you are scrub that cant keep up with them, world reset does not help you.
1 week and they have way bigger stats and qualities than you...

Resetting world is like eating pain killers when you have been shot somewhere.
It might help temporarily but effect is not long lasting and results in nothing good.

I think a yearly reset wouldn't be a bad idea, hell any schedule would be a plus, I don't really care WHEN it happens, just that it will have a definite conclusion. The uncertainty of a world's age could get to be a bit annoying, too long and the game gets stale, too short and your effort feels wasted. I think that maybe we need to look into how much effort we all put into the game and when we feel like we've hit the wall of highest gratification with the game.

Are you guys bored yet? and if you aren't; how much stuff do you still plan to do? Do you think you can do it all before the world ends? Do you currently feel satisfied with your work and feel as if it was a job well done and did it make you feel good/fulfilled?

Perhaps a better suggestion would be to just move on to a new place, with new goals and a fresh character if you feel bored. But what do I know, i'm bad at this game.

Yeah, it's really annoying when there is no defined time on a reset, so people just end up waiting, and eventually getting bored with waiting and not coming back.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

This is if you reached a goal or end your playtime when you die, then scream for the world to reset, it does not matter how long the world lasts. People will get there early game fill or defeat and then leave and complain.

Its as much as we could use more content as much as the player bases attitude needs to change.

Past a 2 month break this world (having a 20+ person village quite on you for is kind of depressing). But as I am now I likely could go on for years past a few slump days.

Instead of resetting the world every year devs could open a new server with new world from time to time, it's not like it's impossible to run 2 at once :|

If their server cant support high numbers then most likely the devs are spending everything they get on pleasantries. Shitty windows xp laptop can only support so many.

Ps. Just look at Jorbs fancy pink bathrobe, most likely Katie Perry edition.
