This game is cool but way too fucking hard. Unreasonably unforgiving, and this is from a usual roguelike player. Maybe I'm not patient?

I don't have it but I've kept coming back to look at it, I'm really tempted but I always read the negative reviews on a game as I think on the whole it gives a better perspective ... I read the good reviews too ... and the reviews are what's holding me back for basically the reason you have just said.

I was also under the impression you had to buy the game to have full access to all it's features. I don't really want to waste money on a game I'm then not going to play. But if the free version is not much different then maybe I'll try it at least.

what's the sense on building in a game with that graphic? I am not one that focus on graphics, but even terraria makes it more worth to build, and yeah it's free but why someone would pay 10€ for that shit?

Its really good, just currently waiting for more content. Mods just cover the hole of misaing content atm.

But how do I transport the meat from where I killed it to a shelter/village/whatever to dry/smoke?
How do I get rope/string 2 hang it?

It depends on your character Strenght....btw you can build a simple shelter( slender trunks and spruce twigs) on the place where you kill the animal, crafting some cords and drying the meat....then find water and clean, tun the hide....you can drop some meat or the hide if your carrying load is to much at time....working the carcass is not the hard part...
