Actually there's plenty of ant species and many of them look really different compared to each other.


Also giant ants or any insects aren't possible due to their way to intake oxygen. Though if oxygen concentration of atmosphere rises over time, insects will grow in size too. Quite a lot actually. So keep on polluting!

isn't pollution (and deforestation) causing a decrease in amounts of oxygen in the atmosphere, or at least theoretically will?

Seems like this came up before, and there's a species of ant in central or Scandinavian Europe that is pretty aggressive, builds large mounds, etc etc. that these ants are based on.

How do you even fight ants like you punch them enough times and the entire group of several hundred ants just eviscerates? How do you chop a group of ants? This game makes no sense.

See here, they can bond together, and it seems that these ants can spit, so it isn't for offensive measure, they are bonding together since it provides structure for the ants to fight. If you broke enough of the bonds all of them wouldn't have the strength (eat more Meat Pie lel) to hold each other together, so it just falls apart and disassembles.

It depends on what scale we look at it. On large scale oxygen concentration of atmosphere is most likely going to rise, and therefore also size of insects.

One danger might be, that change is happening with so drastic speed now. There's not enough time for species to get used to it. Though I highly doubt that many species completely die due to lack of oxygen. Or if they do, majority will survive.
