Just got Hearts of Iron IV, pretty damn fun once you get past the learning curve.

My favourite games were RTSes, especially online MP. Age of Empires III Complete Edition was actually one of the last gifts my dad ever bought me... :( But definitely my favourite, for the fast action and the relatively easy play style. I've grown to like AOE II HD, as well (though I am not so interested in Rise of the Rajas). I liked the Rise of Nations Gold Edition Conquer the World Campaign. Oh, man, I had so much fun nuking the hell out of France. Only way I was going to win that game! And EU II is pretty good, too, though I could only stand the scenario "Fantasia" - I just had no interest in the other scenarios where you do hardly any expansion, and war often means getting your ass kicked by your own people as much as the enemy.

I also played Svea Rike III - they called it EU: Crown of the North in English. ;) Not bad once in a while.
"...the dungeon and shackles are already at my threshold to show me here and now my eternal disgrace. Only you can work the miracle to make life possible for a soul so imperiled by doubt, O Atoner for all, exalted beyond saying." - St. Gregory of Narek, Book of Lamentations, Prayer 1.

You are much loved! Love in return!

Why is no one hasn't mentioned Dawn Of War series yet?
They are awesome.

They're ok. I ran into the same problem with these as I did with the Homeworld games: level design. The dev's of the two (same studio) has some issues with good design. Otherwise, yeah, they're good shit.

I got Civ V on black Friday, got the game and every bit of DLC, every Add-on and every Expansion Pack all for 12 bucks.

It's pretty fun.
Total misplay.

Basically all of Paradox Interactives games are great (semi real time but w/e ;) )
And I love the good ol warcraft games. Company of Heroes 2 is great too, wish we had more good "modern" WW2 RTSs.
I also love the old C&C games, red alert and tiberium is amazing.
Don't see too many good modern RTS games, sadly. I guess warhammer 40k DoW 3 is something to look forward to
