There's a lot of free space in Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho, too. I'd mention Alaska, but it's winter 9 months out of the year, and half of it is dark for months at a time. I guess a bunch of Swedes would know about that, though. ;)

7,5 B people
150 M Kmq of land - 15 M of ice - about 35 M of not livable land = 100 M Kmq

0.100 / 7.5 = 0.013 Kmq/person * (1000*1000) mq/kmq = 13000 mq/person = (115 m * 115 m)/person

WTF, i hope i'm doing something wrong...btw if my first neighbour would be at 100 m distance i would be happy :D , but it's not!

In some places there's a lot more than 100m between neighbours.

Yeah but probably they are nature reserve, you cannot build there or you cannot live at all....I want my 100*100m of land or i start to kill someone :D
Could you imagine in the past?...for sure with no laws etc...it was very dangerous, bandits and such, but i'm pretty sure that someone during some age in the history lived near a beutifull river or lake, with his land, crops, animals, his wife and his sons without anybody bothering him for all his life....could you imagine that? for sure for some people it's happened.....lucky bastards :D I want my 100*100 LAND :D

P.S. And probably they were complaining of the harsh work of crops, animals and stuff to be able to survive :D

You must look at population density not number of people per total area.

Anyway this makes me happy.

You can get pretty close still.

I often wish I could return to a more primitive environment. A masculine environment, without borders, where every in direction is a frontier of the unexplored, of new discoveries, of risks and rewards. There is very little room for the expression of masculinity in the society we have built. Just about everything is tamed and conquered already. When I think romantically of going back to the copper or iron ages i am always reminded of Otzii. He was an example of how people at that time got everything they needed from their environment. He was also murdered by another human being, and I puzzle over why. Probably, as I imagine it, he met conflict when gathering copper ore.

The one thing that always makes me glad to live in this age though is just how many parasites ancient peoples had. They all had intestinal worms and that's just the beginning. I don't think I could be comfortable living like that.
