PM me a day before server opens. I can help you and we can put together an OP with links and shit.

I'll first try to gather some interest on /v/. No point on going to /vg/ if it's only 2 guys trying to keep a thread afloat. But I will consider PMing you for help if there is some interest.

Seriously, though, great writers have often said there's no such thing as bad publicity. To quote Oscar Wilde: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about."

Anyone in PR or Marketing can tell you this off-quoted saying is a lie.

Bad publicity WILL kill your business/brand.

That said, I'm neutral on advertising the new world. I say we do so, but our targets are probably all those players who've tried HnH before. Lots of new things/features now.

Well said ... hence why I just laughed at Smartins when he said it, it's the ppl in life who want so desperately to be a name in the world that think any publicity is good publicity and it may well be true in terms of becoming 'famous' but bad publicity for a product simply means it's end.

That is the case only if the product is bad for real....i think there are many players out there that would like to play a game like H&H, but they simply don't know it.
It's why i asked your help to write a good review/introduction, cause it's not easy for me with my english...btw i will do it if noone will help me....i will not do it only if devs tell me it's not a good idea.
Let me know also if someone of you is familiar with Reddit...I guess it's where i'm going to post it.

^^ Firstly that is not always strictly accurate but in any case a load of new players starting here in a new world will go away thinking this 'product' is bad ... but you are so hyped up about anything to do with Haven that you can never look at anything objectively ... and pls don't think I'm knocking you, I'm really not, it's kinda refreshing to see such enthusiasm and I was exactly the same my first couple of years here. I made the account on the link MM posted and on various other gaming sites, 5 years ago, to do just that. :D

If you're going to go about promoting HnH, please do so while tempering expectations.

Let prospective players know that while the game is playable and can be quite enjoyable, the game IS in alpha, development is ongoing, etc. etc.

And... the best way to introduce a game like HnH to others is to personally lead them through the gameplay and answer their questions as they fumble about. So maybe, round up a few veterans who are willing to show the newcomers the ropes.

It's not an hype thing...i play not that much to be honest. But i see how this is a good game, contrarily to many others recent games. So if i can do some little things to help the game I will do it, cause I love computers games...that's all. I think this game deserve more than it has, just this...and i know for sure that many people like someone suggesting them new games to try out...cause i remember how was hard to find good games for myself times ago.
Now i know pretty much all the games there are out there of the genre i like....so i think is a good think to do suggesting good games to other people, i did it also with RTS, and others games, and more than less people said thx to me.
