some close calls but a really good day, i got in a little late and couldn't stay long (cooking for father and brothers)
i camped by a den(?) and found out that was a bad idea when i hearthed back to a bear.
but luckily he headed the other way. then a kind stranger stopped by and gave me a curio.
i'll be moving to a new spot soon away from dens, hopefully to a long term home

I wandered around and found a cave to start tanning skins before leaving for RL stuff. I found some guy there and showed him the new cave mushroom curio. When I came back home I kept grinding cone cows and doing quests until one gave me 4k lp to get yeomanry and put up a claim.

It felt nice playing the bad guy for once. We were all quite naughty.

We're also well on our way to setting up our hostage pit, where we will contain captured Hearthlings until a ransom is paid (or time runs out).

If only we could get shackles, and a gallows or guillotine, for proper captures and executions. But we'll make due. However any tools that make it easier to do things other than straight up kill people you are imposing your will on could be nice.

Out questing, close to my hearth... I visit Eglebarth to complete a quest and walk up the river to Beelterbob to turn in another. Hiding conveniently behind an anthill on the minimap sits a lynx in wait. It's actually behind another object from the direction I'm looking. Thankfully, I'm next to a narrow crossing at the river, so I turn to cross.

Damn, I forgot I turned off swimming so I don't accidentally go in. A>T>S!! A>T>S!! No!! Not make a Nettle Shirt! Turn on Swimming!! There, I got it! Fuck, it knocked me out swimming!! J!@#$%!%#$%j!!!!!11one.

Was doing really well to that point and had 3 stats up to 20--Con, Int, and Str, and making decent progress on LP. I'm burying the body, but little good it will do as I'll significantly surpass what I'd get back from it by the time I can bury it.

I didn't know Chief was playing Haven now. I thought he was busy developing Salem. Or were you really the Chief all along and had us all fooled over there?

For me...started late at night, seemed to hit the far eastern side, built a house and wandered while waiting for the dream catcher, and got lost...found wulfkin and a group of guys in the same area...got attacked by a bear cause I was lagging around trees so much so lost half my health...and gave up trying to find where I built this damn house!!

These quests got me like

Running 'round laughing at rocks and waving
at trees. Killing bears for some psychotic bush.
My boy Halodis hookin' my ass up. All I had to
do was root out his lover's affair with a boulder

on the subject of quests, what's the "tell X of your exploits' ? Is that like a return after you've done the other objectives type deal because I can't figure that out. Other than wondering about that I've just been using the quests to find and destroy quest givers in my area to minimize the amount of people encouraged to come near me
