No no it's ok viznew the pvp god with years of combat experience is here to help the devs make the right choices when making changes to combat. That has worked well in the past.

One of my biggest concerns with the state of the game now, though, in spirit of the "WAY TOO CAREBEAR" comments - it's way too easy to prevent backstabbery, which was one of the most interesting things to happen in Haven IMO. You can't infiltrate, you can't use stolen keys to raid (you have to siege), and so on. It's super hard to take over a village and your victim has to be absolutely fucking retarded to let you.

I think it's pretty interesting. Garbage village doesn't know how to protect their shit, gets raided. Sweet loot, some kills, pretty entertaining watch.

Some of my sweetest Haven memories were raiding a group of Polish retards led by a kid called Pitex. Raided them about 4 times in the span of 2 worlds. Not a single time were siege mechanics used. They added me to skype calls just to say "fuck you bitch" for about half a year after the fourth time. Good times.

Also by "raid" I mean killed them all and took over their village. They never put lawspeaker on an alt.

Did something similar early this world to a group of Japanese bullies.

Bucket grinding? It's how LP was earned for alts and such before curios... pick a task with the highest LP/hour return, make a bot, and let it run for a few days.

i think at some point i saw them mention something about maybe getting on Steam? I'd probably come back for that just to see what the player #'s were like but these gigantic worlds with like 200 people? Nah.

Yeah, I think they've mentioned considering it, and a lot of players have asked them to, but I think that they really don't want to mess with it. Steam itself is a lot of complication and take a pretty significant % off the top of any sales.

I like that garbage, makes me think a lot to what to do in the game (and also points out that joining a village may really be the wrong thing to do)

Joining the wrong village is always the wrong thing to do. You can't just join a random group of players here and expect it to work out well or be able to simply walk away if it goes wrong. People do depart company amicably here, but it feels as more the exception than the rule for at least a few reasons.
